‘Bystanding: The Feingold Syndrome’ is an immersive VR docufiction that recreates a riverbank incident. Participants experience the perspectives of bystanders, hearing their thoughts and confessions from that day, exploring why no one acted.
Using volumetric capture, photogrammetry, animations, and 360º videos, the VR experience presents each bystander's unique perspective. ‘Bystanding’ reflects on the tension between passive bystanders and the interactive medium, delving into the Bystander Effect.
